Post: For a combined, 20-point post, let's open the can of worms. In a minimum of four paragraphs, make a supported, formal argument about whether Nervous Conditions should be part of the 9th grade syllabus. This is not a post about whether or not you liked the book. Instead, focus on what makes it worth reading and teaching, our overall course questions, and our specific questions and goals for this book. Consider suggesting a different text that you believe would better that raises similar questions and serves similar purposes.
A-Layer Projects Reminder: For the film study and novel comparison, your comparisons and discussion should focus on postcolonial issues and themes that are common across texts. Do not simply summarize the second text you read or view, or make superficial comparisons.
