Blog Posts for 11/26

Reading Details: Document 150 minutes of reading, including time you spent reading Lord of the Flies, between November 12 and November 26.

Post 1: As we get closer to the midterm, think back over the major units of our study so far: summer reading, literacy narratives (+ traits of writing, writing process), short stories + literary elements, literary analysis, and Lord of the Flies.  What do you understand well, what do you need to review more in your notes, and what do you need to ask questions about or would like to review as a class?  Be specific.

Post 2: At this point, you should have your reading focus tracked at least through chapter 4, hopefully through chapter 5.  (if you don't, let this serve as a reminder...) Give the class an update on what you have noticed.  How has your focus appeared so far, and how has it changed or shifted over the course of these chapters?  Be specific.

  1. So does the focus tracker serve as our response this time? Or do we need to do the questions too? Also, where can I find the study guide questions?

  2. Do we actually have a paper for tracking this? Like, a handout?

  3. Does response logs, or annotating count?
